Each installation of ClearCanvas Vetstation requires a valid license.  If you do not have a valid license, please visit www.clearcanvas.ca to purchase one or to contact support.

Entering License Key On Start Up

If you have not previously entered a license key, you will see the following dialog box after ClearCanvas Vetstation starts.  Enter the license key and click on the OK button to continue.  ClearCanvas Vetstation will attempt to verify the license key.  If the license key is valid, this dialog box will close and you can continue to use the application.

If the license key is invalid, you will be asked to enter a valid key:

In the unlikely case where your license key is already assigned to another computer, you will see the following dialog box:

There are a few reasons why you may encounter this:

1.Your license key is used on another computer

Each license key is associated with one computer.  If you install ClearCanvas Vetstation on multiple computers, you should obtain a different key for each computer.

If you are a system administrator installing multiple copies of ClearCanvas Vetstation on your system, this dialog box will appear if you have entered a license key that was used in a previous installation.

In these cases, please choose "Enter a new license key" and provide a different key, then click on the OK button to continue.

2.You made hardware changes on your computer

If you recently installed/updated/removed hardware on your computer, our license server may not recognize your computer.  If this is the case,  choose "Re-associate my license key with this computer" and click on the OK button to continue.

3.Your license key has been stolen

The license key may be associated with the computer of an unknown user.  You can choose "Re-associate my license key with this computer" and click on the OK button to re-associate the key with your computer.  This will allow you to continue using the application.  However, the other user can re-associate the license key back to his/her computer.  If you see this dialog box repeatedly, please contact your own technical support professional or visit www.clearcanvas.ca in order to contact our support department.  We can disable your existing key and issue you a new one.

View Or Change Existing License Key

Once ClearCanvas Vetstation has started, you can view the existing license key by going to the "Help" menu and selecting "View License Key".   The application will verify your license key at this time.  If your license key is valid, you can click on the "Close" button to close the dialog box.

If you want to enter a different license key, click on the "Change" button to see the following dialog box.  Enter a new license key and click on the "Verify" button.

If the license key is valid, you can close the dialog box and resume using the application.

If the license key is invalid, you will need to enter a valid key or exit the program.

If your license key is already assigned to another computer, you will see the following dialog box.  Click "Yes" to re-associate the license key with your computer, or click "No" to go back to the previous dialog box and provide a different license key.
