Each installation of the ClearCanvas Workstation requires a valid license to access the premium features. If you obtain this software from a reseller, please contact the reseller for the license key. Otherwise, visit www.synaptivemedical.com to purchase one or to contact support.
Enter License Key On Initial Start up
When ClearCanvas Workstation, Personal is launched for the first time, you will be presented with a dialog similar to this:
If you have already purchased a license key, enter it and click OK to continue.
If you do not have a license key and would like to evaluate the software, select the "Try the Premium Features..." option and click OK.
View Or Change Existing License Key
To view or change the existing license key, go to the Help > View License Key menu.
License Key Re-association
In the unlikely case where your license key is already assigned to another computer, you will see the following dialog box when the license key is validated:
There are a few reasons why you may encounter this:
|1.||Your license key is used on another computer.|
Each license key is associated with one computer. If you install ClearCanvas Workstation on multiple computers, you will require a different key for each computer.
If you are a system administrator installing multiple copies of ClearCanvas Workstation on your system, this dialog box will appear if you have entered a license key that was used in a previous installation.
In these cases, please choose "Enter a new license key" and provide a different key, then click on the OK button to continue.
|2.||You made hardware changes on your computer.|
If you recently installed, updated, or removed hardware on your computer, the license validation process may no longer recognize your computer. If this is the case, choose "Reassociate my license key with this computer" and click on the OK button to continue.
|3.||Your license key has been stolen.|
The license key has become associated with the computer of an unknown user. You may reassociate the key with your computer in order to temporarily allow you to continue using the application. However, you should contact the reseller of the software immediately so that a replacement license key can be issued. If you purchased the software directly from Synaptive Medical, visit www.synaptivemedical.com for details on how to contact Product Support.
The ability to reassociate a license key is provided to support the legitimate use of the software under the licensing terms as set out in the EULA. Failure to comply with the terms of the license may result in the revocation of your license key.
