While many healthcare organizations are interested in making the transition to digital medical imaging, financial restraints placed on small facilities can make the costs difficult to justify. ClearCanvas ShareStation is an affordable, easy-to-use, Mini PACS solutions specifically designed for smaller organizations. Operating on standard off-the-shelf computer hardware, ShareStation eliminates the large investment costs normally involved in digital imaging by bundling "PACS-like" functionality into a workstation environment. ShareStation is an ideal solution for organizations that perform an exam volume of less than 5000 studies per year.

ClearCanvas ShareStation seamlessly blends a wide range of advanced diagnostic capabilities including MultiPlanar Reformatting (MPR), Hanging Protocols, Easel and PET/CT Image Fusion with routing capabilities that allow images to be sent and received from different locations. Attach PDF documents with relevant diagnostic information to patient images - ShareStation supports viewing and diagnostic features for all modalities. Similar to larger PACS systems, audit trails in the solution allow for easy system management, tracking image access and system use.

ShareStation's Activity Monitor provides a comprehensive list of system activity that allows users to monitor routing progress from a single screen in the workstation application. Users can route medical images to any DICOM device, including image archives from other vendors, printers, and other workstation. Routing processes can be interrupted, stopped or restarted with the Activity Monitor. After an image has been transferred, configurable deletion rules in the solution ensure that local hardware doesn't become overwhelmed with legacy studies. In the event that patients would like to take a copy of their images with them following their exam, ShareStation includes ClearCanvas' popular media burning module (which supports CD, DVD and Blu-Ray media, bundled with a standalone image viewer).
