Study Integrity Queue

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Situations occur when images come into the ImageServer from a device that conflict with a study that is already on the ImageServer. An example of this is when data comes into the ImageServer with the same Study Instance UID, but different demographic information. When such a scenario occurs, the study is put into the Study Integrity Queue by the ImageServer.  Each entry in the Study Integrity Queue represents a Study that needs to be reconciled.

Several fields are used to compare an incoming study with an existing study. These are the patient name, accession number, patient sex, patient birthdate, patient id, and issuer of patient id.  Checks on these fields can be configured in the Server Partition Configuration under the "Study Matching" tab.  Fields that do not match will be highlighted in red.

If configured, the Study Integrity Queue also contains duplicate studies received by the ImageServer.  Users will be able to make a decision on how each duplicate should be processed.
