Introduction

The Studies section of the ImageServer user interface enables a user to search the contents of the server. Studies can be searched using several search parameters including the Patient Name, Patient ID, Accession Number, Study Date,  Study Description, and Modality. The search results include a list of studies with searchable columns and a count of how many series are contained in the study and how many DICOM instances are associated with the study. Also, the modalities associated with the study are included, and a status column includes the current status of the study. The status will tell if the study has been compressed, if its online or nearline (when the ImageServer is configured as an archive only), and if it is currently being processed.

Actions can be performed on each of the studies shown in the list. The study can be moved to a different DICOM application entity, or it can be deleted. A study in the found study list can also be restored from an archive if it is nearline (i.e., on an archive device). If multiple studies are selected, the buttons may become disabled if the action cannot be performed on some of the selected studies (Eg, if one of the selected studies is being processed, the delete button will be disabled.)
