Software Prerequisites

What Software is Required?

For the ClearCanvas RIS/PACS the following software prerequisites must be installed:

1.	Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)

2.	Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

3.	Microsoft ASP.NET Registration and AJAX Extensions

4.	Microsoft SQL Server

5.	An X.509 SSL Certificate

It is recommended to install the Microsoft components in the order listed above to help prevent some known issues with installing them out of order. If you cannot install them in the recommended order, please note the installation details on the following pages to help you resolve any issues that may arise.

The table below describes which software prerequisites are required by the different components of the ClearCanvas RIS/PACS. For each of the components you plan to install, you will need to install the required software for that component onto the computer first. Installation of each of the prerequisites are described in the following pages.

Operating Systems Known to be Compatible

The ClearCanvas RIS/PACS is known to work on the following Operating Systems:

•	Windows XP SP3

•	Windows Vista SP1

•	Windows Server 2003 SP2

•	Windows Server 2008.
