As of version 1.5, the example code used in this guide is now available in a Visual Studio solution that can be compiled and run, making it easier to follow along.  For now, the solution is only available when you download the source in \Docs\DevelopersGuide\ViewerExamples\DevGuideViewerExamples.sln.
