ClearCanvas is changing its software licensing model. From now on, we'll be using a dual-licensing model based on the Open Software License and the ClearCanvas Commercial License.
The
Open Software License (OSL) is a copyleft license that requires all recompiled and distributed modifications to the source code be released under the OSL and made publically available.
For those developers and companies that want to maintain proprietary control over their changes, a commercial license will be available for purchase from us with the next release of our software.
This change is not retroactive and all the existing licensing requirements will continue to apply for versions of our software already released.
