ClearCanvas news and announcements.

We know that service and support for ClearCanvas products is important to you. That’s why we’ve partnered with Oso Healthcare Inc. to help provide a formal support option for organizations requiring dedicated ClearCanvas product support services. Oso Healthcare will provide technical support services for ClearCanvas users in North America starting October 14. Our decision to partner with a third party service organization allows us to maintain our focus on developing the industry’s most powerful open source RIS/PACS products.

Oso Healthcare has a team of healthcare IT service specialists with expertise in the ClearCanvas Workstation and ImageServer products.

Oso Healthcare provides online remote technical support coverage Monday through Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM ET as well as web-based remote assistance, server access via VPN (additional cost), knowledge base, support forum and ClearCanvas Workstation eLearning user education modules (additional subscription)....

After much effort, we've finally completed the migration of SVN and Trac to our own servers. Visit our developer's portal to get the new SVN URLs. If you run into any issues, please let us know on our forums.

Want to help make the next version of ClearCanvas Workstation and RIS even better? Then help us test Workstation/RIS 2.0 Alpha, which is now available for download! (Yes, we're calling it 2.0 instead of 1.6.) There are a number of new features in this new version, including MPR, memory management, the ability to launch external apps like ImageJ from within CCW, user-definable worklists and incoming fax workflow. Note that we haven't updated the user guide yet, but we think you'll be able to find most of the new features on your own. And remember, it's an alpha version, so expect to find bugs. Also, as important as it is to test the new features, we encourage you to test out the old features as well, just in case we've broken anything. When you find a bug, go to our Beta Testers forum and tell us all about it. Happy testing!

Workstation 1.5 SP1 and SDK 1.5 SP1 are now available for download. This service pack addresses the critical bug described in Product Bulletin 001. It has been rigorously tested and we are confident that the bug has been fixed. Thank you all for being patient while we worked on putting out this release.

A bug has been identified in ClearCanvas Workstation 1.5 that we believe has the potential of affecting patient care. Because of our vigorous commitment to quality and transparency, it is important that we make you aware of this issue. We ask that you read our Product Bulletin and take the appropriate corrective actions. We apologize for any problems this issue may have caused.

If you've been on the forums recently, you'll have noticed that we've surpassed 5000 registered users--or over 1000 new users in just 3 months!  Thanks again to all of you who have supported us so faithfully!

With the ever growing forum content on clearcanvas.ca, finding what you need will be that much easier (and faster!) now that we've installed Google Custom Search on the site. We've indexed all the content on our development portal as well. To give it a try, simply enter your search terms (e.g. DICOM) in the search box in the upper right hand corner and click the search icon. Happy searching!

If you login to our brand new website (nice, isn't it?), you'll be prompted to update your profile with your physical address. Rest assured, this is not a marketing ploy--we definitely won't be sending you any junk mail! Rather, we want to be able to issue product recalls if necessary and a mailing address is required for that. So when you login, help us out by providing a real address. Thanks!

At long last, ClearCanvas 1.5 is finally here! We're as relieved to get this out to all of you, as you are to finally see it. After almost 8 months of intensive development and testing, the full ClearCanvas RIS/PACS is now available for download (yes, that includes the long-awaited RIS!) We've added tonnes of features and made countless bug fixes in the Workstation, ImageServer and RIS. As this is the first time we've released the full integrated product, we'd love to hear what you think of it. So be sure to visit our forums and join in on the conversation! Enjoy!

An impressive ImageServer milestone was reached today:  Over 1 million studies are now online at JDMI!
