In the workstation thread, How do I find the text width in the primitive..? was a thread I started to try to figure out how to position the anchor relative to the top left corner of the text block, rather than the center. In looking into the problem, I decided that 1.3 was insufficient, and would require a change in one of the binaries - I would have to make my own build of 1.3 to get it to work. So if I had to do that I would just as well build the top of the tree. From that, I made the changes and have produced a patch file for submission. I will be sending the signed license agreement by early next week - just want to get my project manager to sign off on it. I also want to ask for you to open a ticket.
The issue is that your text primitive has an anchor point in the middle of the text block, both vertically and horizontally. I would prefer that the anchor be the top left corner of the text block for our annotations. To simply facilitate the behavior, I have developed a patch that I want to submit. How I actually produce the behavior at run time is a subject of a plugin that I am developing, not at all related to this patch (other than it uses this new feature).
Can you please open a ticket for me, or if I am suppose to do that, can you tell me how please?
I will submit the patch now, and follow up with the lic agreement Monday or Tuesday.
