      I am openning studies in workstation from command prompt by passing studyfolder . Here if we pass study folders multiple times then multiple workstations openned and also it is time consuming to load plugins.

So i want to open studies in same workstation i.e already running.

Venky, in the developer's guide there is a section on Automation, which allows you to open studies in the workstation via a web service. Please have a look at it, and if it's not the right solution for your problem, please post back.

Thanks for your suggestion. my requirement is when i run at the command prompt an instance is open, and again run the exe from command prompt with different study folder then open the study in first exe with out closing previous study.

Hi Venky, your situation still requires inter-process communication of some kind because the second process still has to find the first one and tell it what to open, then close itself. Do you actually want to open studies, or local files? If it's studies, I suggest writing a command line app that takes the study UID on the command line, then uses the automation service to open it in CC. If it's files, my suggestion is the same, but you'd have to add a method to the automation service to accept file/folder paths.

Current we are able to open local files that or not in workstation database by passing that folder worsation exe ( for example Clearcanvas.Desktop.Executable Clearcanvas.Destop.Application d:\MR).

 

But my requirement is open the studies in same worksation when running above command by changing folder. Also able to open study when passing studyinstanceuid.
