I installed the RisServer and Workstation (in combined mode) beta versions. I can run the Workstation and login successfully using my admin account from the RisServer install step, however I cannot for the life of me get to the "Homepage" referred to in the documentation for interacting with the RIS. Only the Explorer is accessible. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance.

Hi, in Admin/Authority Groups, have you imported all the authority tokens and given your user the RIS Homepage token?

Hope this helps,
Stewart

Well, under Authority Groups there are a few entries. I hit the import button for good measure. I edited the admin user and checked all the group boxes. I tried to create a new user but do not know how to set the password to log in as that user.

I can't find any documentation on how to get rolling with it.

It sounds like something went wrong with the install. I would recommend trying out the official 2.0 release now.

I have exactly the same problem on new trial install today using 2.0/SP1.
Thanks!

The homepage will appear only if you are logged in as a user with an associated staff record. Are you using the sa account? The sa account is not associated with a staff person.
