Hi,

I have been testing CCWorkstation 2.0 Beta against CCWorkstation 1.5 SP1. I have found one important bug that I'll write it briefly and two suggestions with the retrive/sent sidebar panel. Here we go:

1.- First of all I have configured my PACS' connection inside CCWorksation 1.5 SP1. Testing with some study, query and retrieve works perfectly, saving all retrieved images in filestore folder and viewing them on 'My Studies' side.

Meanwhile, in CCWorkstation 2.0 BETA version, putting the same parameters( Host, AE Title, Port and DICOM server's AE title and port), the query instance is properly done, however, we have an error with the retrieve. It appears a message telling :'Unable to load from PACS'.

The ClearCanvas Workstation Shred Host Service is enable and as I told, all the configuration of the Workstation is the same. So a big problem with the retrive for us..

2.- Another feature that it could be improvable is the cleaning of the retrieve list. When you finish with a retrieve, all the saved studies goes to 'My Studies' section. Nevertheless, if we proceed to erase some study in 'My Studies', the retrive/sent sidebar is not updated and cleaned with that erased study. I think its confusing for any professional and it can be a chaos if that sidebar is not be updated.

3.- Continuing with that sidebar, I think is little bit annoying its appearance with each retrieve instance covering all the screen, it coulld be a better solution not to cover all the screen.

Thanks in advance for reading!! and I hope it will be resolved the retrived problem as soon as it¡s possible!!

Regards!

Hi fagamendi, thank you for the feedback!

For the first issue, can you post a screenshot (with any sensitive patient info removed) of the message you see along with any messages that appear in the logs?

For the Send/Receive monitor issues, there is already a ticket to fix it's constant popping out, which is slated not for the 2.0 release, but the one after.  If you resize the window so that it doesn't take up the whole screen, does that help?  The workstation will persist the size of the window as well, so whatever size you make it, it should stay that size.

Your idea for automatically clearing items from the receive queue that have been deleted locally is great, so I've entered a ticket here.  Not sure when we might get to this, but as a workaround, you can configure how long items remain in that queue (the default is 120 minutes).  You could make it 30 minutes, for example, by changing the setting in the ShredHostService.exe.config file (look for "PurgeTimeMinutes").  You will need to restart the workstation shred host service for the change to take effect.

Thanks again,

Stewart

Hi fagamendi,

I'd also like to add that the services installed by 1.5 and 2.0 will conflict with each other as they use the same ports for service communication. The services are also not compatible with other version clients (1.5 service won't work with 2.0 client) - so you might want to double check that the correct service is running when you're in 2.0.

Thanks,
// Jasper
