Hi,
Thanks for helping beta test our software! We want to involve the community as much as possible in making sure that all our products are of the absolute highest quality.
Now, if you've found a bug in an alpha or beta version of any of our products, the most important thing to do is to provide as much information as possible. This will help reduce the number of follow-up questions we have to ask, thus speeding up the bug fixing process.
Here's an example of a good preliminary bug report:
- Product/Version: Workstation 2.0 Beta 2
- Operating System: Windows 7
- Bug Description: Window/levelling colour ultrasounds always crashes the viewer
- Steps to reproduce:
- Open the anonymized image that I've attached to this post
- Window/level the image so that the window width is 0
- Viewer will crash; log is attached
What makes this a good preliminary report is that it gives us enough information to reproduce the problem. Fixing a bug is pretty much impossible unless we can reproduce the bug on our machines, so the more you can help us out by providing a good report, the faster we can get to fixing it.
Happy testing!
Norman
