Hi,
I've read elsewhere in the forum that there is a speech recognition plugin available for the RIS and Workstation. How would I find out more about this?

Hi Justin,
The plugin is indeed already deployed at one hospital and is working well, but it has not yet been "productized" for commercial sale yet. We're not sure yet when that will be done, as we've been pretty busy with our existing commitments. But we do hope to make it available at some point.

Hi,
I'd also like to see VR options , we currently use speech magic 6.0 ,which is a very shaky product I hope CC's is better ;) |

Hi FT,
Unfortunately, no, the VR plugin is not yet available. There are a few other commercialization initiatives we are currently undertaking that will take priority over that one. I wouldn't expect it for a while.

Not sure what you mean by interface with the PACS. You will probably get better answers if you clarify your question. |

Our RIS was originally written for a customer, and we did integrate VR into it. It is not part of the public open source RIS for a number of reasons, one being that there are licensing fees involved, so we can't include it in free software. At the moment, we don't have a commercial RIS product. |
