I am going to be installing CC imageserver / RIS server to replace a currently operating PACS system. However, there is currently a MWL in place, and in order to move to CC, I'm going to need to figure out something to use to provide MWL.

I can't use the current MWL implementation, it won't be available after the switch. I have seen dcm4che, and Conquest has a MWL... I see that CC-compatible/integrated MWL solutions are on the way, but I can't wait, I'll need something in the next month.

As far as I can tell, the EMR system in use at this site does not send HL7, it merely writes a text file to the server and the MWL server creates the worklist from that.

What have/are other people using (with CC)? Any suggestions?

EMR systems should send MWL directly to the modalities, this is my way of RIS implementation. RIS should be a module of EMR, it`s simple, no need to HL7 or TXT integration effords. EMR guys should handle the workflow.

I agree, however this EMR was not built with diagnostic imaging in mind, and it's only billing/scheduling. I've got to work with what I have for now. Ideally I would use CC Ris and a MWL that works with it, but I don't see that such a thing exists.

 

I am interested in adding the MWL part as well. Does anyone have something working with CC RIS?
