 Team,

I am new to the Clear Canvas.  I have two Servers A & B.  Both Servers has identical AE-Titles/Server Partitions.  I would like to Auto Route from Server A to B, on the basis of Server Partition/AE-Titles.  The target is to keep a backup server, 2 copies of the studies in case the server A dies.   I am trying to do Auto Route Based on Server Partition from A to B for ImageServer + WebStation Alpha. The questions are

1)    What would be the best approach to accomplish this?

2)    Do you think Auto Route would work?

3)    If, Auto Route would work what would be Rules codes going to be?

I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks in Advance…

Ali,

Using auto-routing would be the best way to accomplish this and it should work. If you have one of the servers as your "primary" server, where all the modalites will be sending, you could make a "default" rule for auto-routing, that would just send all of the studies to the other server. For default rules, the "condition" part of the rule is ignored, just put your duplicate AE title as the routing destination and ensure the Device configuration page has the AE title of the second server configured properly.

Steve,
Thanks for the reply.
Let me elaborate what I understand from your reply
1) There are 2 servers, SERVER-A & SERVER-B
2) The SERVER-A receive all studies from all Modalities which has multiple Partitions & the SERVER-A will be Auto Route Host.
3) On SERVER-A, Create the SERVER-B Partition.
4) On SERVER-A, Add a Device & define the SERVER-B AE-Title into the Configure-->Devices> & then select SERVER-B Partition & then with a device with SERVER-B IP Address & Port its listening on.
5) On SERVER-A, Add Auto Route Rule as Default in SERVER-B Partition with the attached xml codes

Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks a million for your help.

Ali,

On your step 3, there's no need to create a SERVER-B Partition. This would be another virtual server on Server-A. This would only be needed if you have a need for the second partition. Otherwise your suggestions look correct.

 Steve--->Thank for the correction

Now I have two Auto Routes on each server partition.  But the problem is only one works, the one marked as "Default".  If I mark both of them as "Default" then only first one works & second one gives the error as below.

If I use single Auto Route for multiple devices it does not work at all.  Please see the attached XML file for details. I think my XML is not correct.  Can you please look asap I would highly appreciate it?

Thanks for the great support like always.
