Processing in the WorkQueue should happen automatically as long as the ShredHostService is running, and there's sufficient memory on the server. Are you having issues with WorkQueue entries not processing?

Thanks ,when two work queue items have the same schedule and the same priority in the list of the work queue of the image server ,how to process this  by the ShredHostService ? how to judge by the ShredHostService?  for  two work queue items , which is first  processing?  The another is post-processing ?

The WorkQueue processor in the ShredHostService actually has multiple threads that are run to process WorkQueue items simultaneously. So, if there are several items scheduled for the same time, they will simply be processed at the same time, if threads are available. The starts processing WorkQueue items in sequential order, based on the scheduled time. If there is a large backlog in the WorkQueue, it will just take longer to get through all the processing. If there is a backlog, we do have mechanism where WorkQueue items are rescheduled after processing for completion.

The software can also function with multiple ShredHostServices running on multiple servers pointing to the same database. This way data can actually be processed by multiple systems if need be. The production system we have at JDMI has around 10 servers and processes around 1800 studies a day.
