Not sure why the service isn't available. Note that when you install the service, the ShredHostService must run with the -service option to run as a service, otherwise it attempts to run as a command line app. This may be part of your issue.

As for configuring the service, you'll have to install the database and web GUI and add your partition information there. I do usually just have some SQL scripts to install some of the basic configuration, but I would suggest you just do this through the web gui.

Hello Steve

As u told above that add partiton via GUI  yes it work but when i add file system it gives an error of service model.(i think is because of service not running ?).and filesystem is added but not working.

AS i told u before when i install service using installuti.exe not shown in Mycomputer->

Manage->Services. When i double click CCImage Server exe it starts.

For filesystem i add error ->

Error : Could not connect to http:\\localhost:9998\ clearcanvas.imageserver.common.servicemodel.TCP error code 10061:No connection could me made because target machine actively refuse it 127.0.0.1:9998

Any Help would be greately appriciated

Thanks

Hello Members,

Is that right way to install Servershredhost service ?

VSCommand prompt --->

Installutil.exe "D:\Clearcanvas\Clearcanvas.Imageserver.ShredHostService.exe"

When i execute that command service install successfully but not show in MyComputer--->Manage--->Services--->?

How can i run above command  with -service option.

Thanks in advance

Image,

I believe you have to do this:

Installutil.exe "D:\Clearcanvas\Clearcanvas.Imageserver.ShredHostService.exe -service"

Also, concerning your errors with the web GUI, the Web GUI attempts to communicate via WCF with the service when you add a filesystem, to ensure the service has permissions to access the folder for the filesystem. You're getting an error with this because it can't connect to the service. It also gets the filesystem usage statistics from the server.

Finally, this seems to be a "Development" issue, and not a "Users" issue. Please post these types of questions in our Developers forum for the ImageServer in the future.
