I have one FS and two partitions. I want to be able to send to the same radiologist from both partitons, but when I try to set up his device I get a duplicate error. Obviously, the system is expecting that each device name (AETITLE) to be unique. Any way to do this?

This is a bug, which is entered as ticket #6642 in Trac.  This will be resolved in our next official release of the ImageServer.

if you are comfortable with using SQL management studio and editing databases directly, a quick workaround is to just enter a dummy device in the GUI, and then edit the new entry in the device table.

I would not attempt this if you're not familiar with SQL.

Thanks. We are using SQL Server Enterprise and I am SQL Server Certified and that is what I did. I did not create a dummy, I created the actual device I needed. For some reason, when I created the dummy and edited, I still got the duplicate error. But the DB will accept the duplicate ae for a second partition.

There is a workaround for those that don't know SQL. If they have an application that will send studies - like kpacs - all they have to do is send an image to the second partition with the AE title they want to use. The device will automatically be created and all they will have to do is edit the port and the IP address.
