Hi,

I want to insert a mask into US images to obscure the patient name, id etc.

Is this possible without first converting the pixeldat to a bmp, then inserting the mask and then recreate the dicomfile?

So is it possible to directly edit the pixeldata?

Regards,

Robert

Hi Robert, it depends on exactly what you want the outcome to be. If you're ok with directly editing the file, then it should be pretty easy. You can load the DicomFile, get the pixel data to a buffer, and use the ImageViewer.Imaging.PixelData classes to help you do the get/set pixel operations, then save the file back out. The only trick would be for color images, you would have to convert to ARGB in order to use the ColorPixelData class.

Hope this helps,
Stewart
