Alexander, We'll be appreciated if you could give more specific feedback. How can we improve this plug-in?

regards,

Sezer Pal

Hi, I just stumbled uppn this thread.

1) If the overall Plugin is reasonably cheaper than eFilm you should have enough cutomers - including us ;-)

2) The included viewer should be easy to use with the main basic functions

3) It should run under all curret 32 and 64 bit windows systems -eFilm Lite doesnt run under Win 64bit - which is a major drawback as many people beginn to use 6 bit systems

4) May it is even possible to ave a chive for the used image viewer, K-Pacs eFilm lite ...etc..there are probably many more which I dnt recll at the moment

Hi sezer

HW used for testing:

Lenovo T410 Burner: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GU10N

- It is an LG OEM Burner, so nothing special.

I can test on other HW but this will take till sunday - dont have enough time.

Suggestion for future versions:

1) Verify Option

Same issue in different System:

Phenom 2 / 8GB RAM

Burner: Liteon iHES208

Only thing in common is Win 7 64bit Ultimate.

Starts creating DICOMDIR, the says "copy files" ..and then it crashes.

Ditto the above I think there is a change with the "built-in" wndows burning from the 32 to 64 bit causing the issue has anyone. tryed with win7 32 bit.

Dear Sezer Pal

I want to collaborate with the development of these tools and if possible also with the DICOM print option, as I make the contribution?

 Hi,

I've installed the plugin and the recommended syngo free viewer, and can burn the disk fine.

However, my problem is with the end result...  the CD looks fine, but when the autorun starts I get the

"This application failed to initialize properly (0x0000006)"

?

dear Niksavel

Does the same problem when manually write to cd? This problem does not originate from plugins.

Hi,

yes, I assumed it was not a problem with the plugin, rather with the recommended cd reader burned (syngo).. do I maybe need to point the plugin to a specific directory of the syngo reader installation? This wasn't very clear in the instructions... or is there a portable version of the prog?

I tried burning with a free Radiant DICOM viewer and it worked out okay... just thought I mention that...

 Hi Nikola,

We just recomended Syngo FastView as a sample  to include to CD. But it seems crashes in your installation configuration.

You can either use any other favour of runtime viewers or you can ask support from Siemens about it. We do not give support to the viewers that you prefer, you are independent on that. Plase use appropriate one, just find a non-problematic one and put on *Viewer* directory, thats all.

Sezer

 Hey guys,

after a week or so of using the software I got to understand more of what I did wrong and why it wasn't working for me so lat me just clarify it for everyone...

THE PLUGIN WORKS as advertised... the problem that I did is that I went ahead got the syngo viewer and pointed the plugin to the installed directory...  this is WRONG. You need to get the syngo STANDALONE viewer copy it somewhere and point the plugin there.  Works fine now.

What I also accidentally discovered is an extremely lightweight DICOM viewer with basic viewing options - perfect for being CD distribution...  called radiant - http://www.radiantviewer.com/.

You need the standalone version of course...   it is closed source however, and currently freeware.

As 3 year radiology resident I have already seen dozens of bundled viewers on CDs... this one is at least 300% faster than any I've seen so far. It also allows you to include your own company logo to the splash screen it shows while loading.
