Dear Community Members,

We have developed new plug-in that all we needed for a long time. We don't know how to get help for sustainable development.

Beta eval. period expired. You can download from www.ccaddons.com, request demo or purchase.

Looks good! Nice work.

Comments:
1. Be nice to match the icon to the existing icon style.
2. Would it be possible to have a clearer notification once the CD has been burnt?
3. Do you have any recommendation for a viewer that will autoload on CD insertion as opposed to having to install syngo's viewer? I want something that is minimum effort for the person receiving the disc (often patient or solicitors).

Many thanks for this - it's very fast to use and an essential addition to the main application.

Hi aiguille;

1. We are welcome if some one sends us an icon, we do not have graphic designer.
2. Notification pop-up and sound (optional), we'll add it.
3. We have misunderstanding here, patients does not need anything to install. Just you install and set Syngo Fastview directory (actually no need to install even, just for extracting package) then Plugin will burn the files to CD that also includes original Autorun (that designed to run from CD already).

We are generating DICOMDIR. This option allows you to use "a la carte" viewer you would like (AKOM PC for Angiographers or maybe other viewers that your doctors are familiar, just check if Autorun exist, or write new one)

Also CD ROBOT version is coming soon. (For Epson PP-100) That will burn automated 100 CDs and print Label from DICOM metadata.

Thanks for feed back and motivation.

Hi, aiguille
Since many users are familiar with E-Film Lite. You can put E-Fim Lite (all folders and files) under c:\viewer folder as the default folder name for this plug-in. It will burn all images + E-Film Lite to a CD. When a user put it in his/her optical drive, E-Film Lite will automatically launch.

By the way, I am wondering if you see any need to burn images to a DVD media without any third party burning software installed on the system. I notice this plug-in does not work with DVD writing on Windows XP SP2, which does not support DVD writing natively in the operating system.

Am I right on this guess?

Hi,

I have just tested to burn DVD using XP SP3 , SUCCESS!
Please do not forget to select 4.7 GB from devices before burn.

BTW, can some one test BlueRay please.

Tested on Win XP SP2, burned to a rewritable cd. Works great. Imported images from jpg, the output is .dcm. The viewer was not burned. I agree with most of the people here, we all await the CC lite (viewer) version on the CD without the need to install it.

Hi Mprotran,

You don't need to install any thing. Just copy a viewer (like Syngo Fastview, AKOM PC, Efilm lite, Kodak, Fuji viewers etc. to C:\Viewer and remove Read Only tick).

Program will burn the viewer. Viewer will find DICOMDIR, you will be happy.

viewer folder on set mouse right clik on properties following window down Readonly item set uncheck OK!  after burner application open settings and viewer property set dicom viewer folder location.

if you have autostart dicom viewer application then autorun.inf file create..

Does this work on win7 64bit? CC crashes every time I try to burn a study. I've made sure that the viewer folder (tried both e-film lite and syngo-fastview) is not Read-Only. Also tried running CC as administrator.

When do you expect to distribute this plugin? Being able to burn a disk with a viewer is very useful.

Hi,
We expect to release in August.

Swallace; did you able to burn a CD with C:\emptydirectory viewer pointer?

Hi Sezer,

No I was not able to. I created an empty folder C:\test and pointed the viewer to that but it crashed again. I click the burn study icon, the CD Burner window comes up, I press the Burn button, it checks to make sure I have correct media in the drive (if I don't it flashes the read warning) The top Progress bar goes green saying CD - 1 Copying Files, then it crashes before there's any indication of progress on the lower bar.

It doesn't seem to write anything in either the Clear Canvas logs or the windows application log unfortunately.

A correction to my post above. Windows does create the following item in the app log, I didn't see it at 1st because it was listed as a general info item not an Error.
