Hi Tommy,

Yes, the plan is to have a "lite" viewer as well. There actually is a way to do it such that you don't need to install .NET first.

Just add a section to your forums and call it 'Post a Bounty'.  People could post an idea for Clear Canvas workstation or the imageserver and then they could say that they would donate 'X' amount of dollars to the project and others would join in if they thought the bounty was worth while.

I know that it works very well over at other open source forums for projects.

I cant stand eFilm it is so unreliable, crashes all the time, database gets corrupted, but alas because of burning and a few other issues I am stuck using it. I would love to see some more progress made on CC Workstation to get it up to par with a lite viewer and burning capabilities.

I very briefly installed it and tried it. Looks promising. The idea of getting a reader onto the disk, etc., should be more automated. Perhaps you could have one loaded into memory and just write it to disk along with the studies. Have a checkbox saying "Place DICOM reader on CD". This would make it a lot easier to use.

Hi, Community users who did not try beta version yet now can download and request demo license from http://www.ccaddons.com/downloadcdburner.htm

Also we will be appreciated feedbacks to improve the development. We are planning to divide developments as community edition (open source and community supported) and commercial version as it's diverse over the time. (maybe a year or more) ClearCanvas is our model organization and we would like to contribute with our effords to CC Community. Because of our country difficult place for entrepreneurship first we have to sustain the project by selling some licenses.

People who purchased license have free upgrades and support.

For commercial version here are the features can be implemented;
* Encryption support for UK (and others) Encrypted filesystem is an options, otherwise how can we use embedded viewer? We'll try to automatize mount process.
* Burn directly from Server (now you have to burn from local repository)
* Burn to CD Robot (we have embedded version for EPSON PP-100 with touchscreen interface, just need time to release plug-in version)
* Improved DICOMDIR with thumbnails.
* Include viewer or not option before burn button.
* Select which viewer to include before burn. (now you should change settings or directory name to switch between Syngo FastView or ACOM PC or other.
I encourage people to add their ideas to the list.

Regards,
Sezer Pal (sezerpal-at-gmail-dot-com)

 Hi drmg,

It's released, you can buy it just for $250.00 per workstation per year. I think it's much more economical solution than e-film renewal. I suggest you request a trial license if you not tried yet. I hope you'll like it like other users. http://www.ccaddons.com

regards,

Sezer Pal
